Big Bash Preview – January 11

There are a number of important squad changes for both of these sides ahead of their clash in Brisbane on Wednesday night.  Most notably the Heat lose internationals Colin Munro and Sam Billings but gain three very handy inclusions from Australia’s test side – Matthew Renshaw, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja.  The Scorches regain spinning allrounder Ashton Agar from test duties but have lost the services of their internationals Faf Du Plessis and Adam Lyth in the past week.  Du Plessis in particular leaves a big void at the top of the order.

Whilst the Scorchers sit at the top of the table and their bowling remains strong, their batting is looking a little fragile.  I think the Heat will get a huge kick from their inclusions and if they can bowl well at home are a big chance of toppling the Scorchers in this.  Happy to play them as an outsider.
