Last week Backawinners we had a couple of strong winning chances late in the last round, In the LIV invitational Sihwan Kim-($600) T3,  putted poorly but still shot 68 in the last round. Had a real chance to win. The winner was playing only his 5th professional event after a distinguished college career. An amazing result. Jed Morgan ($1500) each way, previously the laughing stock of the LIV players was only one shot out of tie for fifth with one round to go. Sadly we won’t get the $1500 odds again.

Sung-Hyoen Kim-($200) in the Shriners For Children’s Open in Las Vegas  scored three birdies on the back nine to get within one of the lead, going for a par 5 in two on 16 he missed carrying the Lake by a metre and dropped to a T4 finish.

In the Spanish Open, Marc Warren-($640) ran 8th missing an each way payout by two shots.

In the LPGA Jennifer Song-$401 each way contended for two rounds and faded  after a poor third round.

Zozo Championship

This week the first scheduled event is the Zozo Championship at the Narashino Country club in Chiba prefecture, Japan. The Shinya Fujita course featuring two greens in each hole plays 7200 yards (6540m) par 70 with a slope of 110 and a course rating of 70.

LIV Jeddah

The LIV juggernaut rolls on to Jeddah,at the Royal Greens Golf and Country club, a product of European Golf Design, measuring 7200 yards (6540m) par 72. With a course rating of 75 and a slope of 135.

Despite his improved showing last week, Bet365 obviously believe Jed Morgan’s effort was a flash in the pan and they’ve put up $1001 each way.

Andalucia Classic

The European tour heads to Valderrama for the Estrella Damm, Andalucía Masters, the Robert Trent Jones course, 6990 yards (6390m) course rating 76.1 and slope of 147 is famous for its tree lined narrow fairways and is not a favourite of modern architects. Straight drivers do well here.
