In the Australian Open with one round to go the Frenchman Pierre Pineau ($1000) had a real chance and Maverick Antcliff ($230) an outside chance. Pineau birdied the first but his challenge founded with a three putt from 15 at hole 4. The Pole, Adrian Moronk went on to win.
