The Parramatta Cup is a Listed race held at Rosehill Racecourse and is run over 1900 metres. It is for horses aged three-years-old and older and is run under quality handicap conditions. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

Parramatta Cup 2024 Preview

Track: Good Weather: Fine

Zennzella comes up favourite and looks a big contender in this field from barrier 7. Collett steers and this race is a suitable target. Diamil should have every chance from barrier 3 and then a decent gap in the market. So United has a wide draw but has won two in a row and has race fitness on its side. Canberra Legend needs to lift but has been given time and can give this a shake. Keep an eye on the market for any moves for it.

Putting together a good CV and having a fruitful prep. Can land up the front and prove tough to stave off.

Having a good prep and loved the first up win. Maps to get a tow into the race and should be there in the business end. Hard to beat.

14. Lord Ardmore (6)

Going along well. Maps for a kind run from barrier 6 and is suitably placed in this field. Should prove hard to hold out in this.

15e. Canberra Legend (11)

Plenty of support upon return so warrants attention off that. Tricky draw but does have class and needs respect in this field.

16e. Almania (2)

Good runner and always had time for Almania. Capable of a big finishing burst and can win this.

17e. Floating (17)

Hard to catch but barrier 17 is okay for its running pattern. Hard to hold out in this affair.

18e. Roma Avenue (18)

Can’t have.

19e. Principessa (14)

This looks too tough.

20e. Bootscooter (16)

Prefer others.
