The early favourite is filly Live To Tell who resumes after 43 weeks and has 2 wins (at Group 3 and Listed level) and 2 places from her 4 starts. Second favourite is Wild Belle who won the Listed Miss Andretti Stakes over 1100m last start. Third favourite is Real Danger who won the Scenic Blast Stakes beating several of her rivals here and has won 10 of her 29 starts. My Bella Mae ran 0.9 length 3rd behind her, while Aztec Ruler has won 5 of his 10 starts and resumes after 19 weeks. The other runners are currently $15 or longer.

1. Hot Zed (11)

Last start he had a torrid run from a wide gate in the Group 3 Gold Rush over 1400m on 16th December and finished 15th. The drop back to 1200m suits but he is drawn wide again. Place chance.

2. Ghost Who Walks (6)

Finished 0.9 length 4th behind Real Danger in the Listed Scenic Blast Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 27th January with good closing splits. His best distance is 1000m but don’t dismiss.

3. My Bella Mae (8)

Ran 0.9 length 3rd in the Scenic Blast. Talented mare who has 5 wins from 15 starts but hasn’t managed to win this preparation. Should be in the finish.

4. Real Danger (3)

Won the Scenic Blast Stakes beating several of her rivals here and has won 10 of her 29 starts. Chris Parnham retains the ride. Strong chance.

5. Wild Belle (2)

Won the Listed Miss Andretti Stakes over 1200m at Pinjarra last start. That was a dominant win and she is one of the main chances here.

6. Mojo Rhythm (10)

Returns from a 9 week let-up after having his last 2 starts at Group 1 level.Goes well fresh. Don’t dismiss.

7. Titan Blinders (9)

This 8YO is the oldest runner in the race this year. Last start he ran 2nd to Real Danger in the Scenic Blast. In the mix.

8. Aztec Ruler (7)

Has won 5 of his 10 starts and resumes after 19 weeks. Place chance.

9. Live To Tell (5)  – scratched

Resumes after 43 weeks and has 2 wins (at Group 3 and Listed level) and 2 places from her 4 starts.

10. Mood Swings (4)

Resumes from an 18 week spell. Prefer others.

11. Saintorio (1)

Finished 8th in the Scenic Blast when resuming after 32 weeks. Perfectly drawn but this looks too tough.
