Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.
Best Bet
Truly Inspired (Ascot Race 6 No. 3)
This six-year-old Dundeel gelding has only had 6 starts, for one win and one place. He resumed from a spell of over a year for 2.4 lengths 4th over 1600m at Ascot on 15 October, then came from back in the field for 1.7 lengths 4th over 1800m at Ascot on 29 October. William Pike rides him for only the 2nd time after winning a Northam maiden on him back in June 2021. Rates highly.

Best Each Way
Never Sober (Ascot Race 5 No. 1)
This four-year-old gelding trained by Ashley Maley has three wins and four places from 16 starts. He reached the front in the final stride for a very narrow win over 1800m at Ascot on 8 October, then didn’t finish it off when 2.2 lengths 4th over 1400m at Ascot on 22 October. Gets a 3kg claim here and looks a solid each-way chance.

Best Lay
Nunes (Ascot Race 7 No. 9)
This three-year-old Sizzling filly is the early favourite in this Class One Handicap race over 1200m. She was well-supported in the betting when she won a 1200m Maiden at Ascot by 1.2 lengths on 12 October, then she went straight to a Listed race where she finished 5.2 lengths 6th in the Burgess Queen Stakes over 1400m on 1 November. Has a 3kg claim here but still looks tested.
