Rapidern (Ascot Race 5 No. 3)
This four-year-old gelding has only had 3 starts. He started twice as a 3YO where he was 9th of 9 in an 1100m maiden at Northam on 16 June, then 10th of 10 in a 1300m maiden at Northam on 30 June. He resumed from a 23 week spell with a surprise 1.4 length win in a 1200m maiden at Pinjarra Park on 11 December where he led all the way. Likely to race near the speed in a race without much early pace and looks a nice each-way bet

Bisector (Ascot Race 3 No. 9)
This three-year-old Demerit filly resumes here and is the early favourite in this Set Weights Maiden over 1100m. She was overhauled late when 0.6 length 2nd over 1000m at Belmont on 15 June, then sped to the lead before tiring and finishing 3.4 lengths 6th over 1000m at Belmont on 29 June. Won a recent trial but others offer better value.
