Horse Racing Tips : WA Wednesday 14th December 2022

Our Belmont Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Best Bet

Ginger Jones (Belmont Race 5 No. 1)

He has had 2 starts this campaign and has won 3 from 5 third-up . He resumed for 8th over 1200m at Ascot on 9 November, then improved for 1.5 lengths 3rd over 1000m at Belmont on 30 November. Expecting more improvement and has a 3 kg claim which should help. Rates highly.

Best Each Way

Military Beat (Belmont Race 4 No. 7)

This five-year-old War Chant mare has been racing well lately. She was a 0.8 length winner over 1300m at York on 17 November, giving her 2 wins in a row, then kept coming for 1.1 lengths 2nd over 1300m at Northam on 1 December. Looks worth an each-way bet here.

Best Lay

Sunny Honey (Belmont Race 3 No. 5)

This 3YO gelding is the early favourite in this Class Three Handicap for Colts and Geldings race over 1200m. He was blocked late when 5.8 lengths 7th in the Listed Placid Ark Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 12 November, then did his best work late when 6.2 lengths 9th in the Group 2 WA Guineas over 1600m at Ascot on 19 November. Coming back from harder races but still looks too short at $2.70.
