This is a cracking Wednesday card. In particular races 2,3,5,6,7,8 feature some really nice horses that could easily go onto feature on a Saturday over the spring. The track is soft and the rail is out 9m the entire circuit.
Best Bet
Eternal Flame (Sandown Hillside Race 5 No. 2)
The fourth race is a competitive one but I think this four year old mare stands out as the best bet on the card. She had no right to real the leader in first up over 1200m on the Lakeside track. Switches to the Hillside track now and gets an extra 200m which looks perfect. Think she is a Saturday class mare if not a bit better.

Zoupurring (Sandown Hillside Race 6 No. 15)
Leon and Troy Corstens trained four year old. Was very well supported at the Valley first up and never saw daylight. Complete forgive. Drops back to Wednesday grade and with some better luck I think he can be right in the finish.

That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Flame Tree Star (Grafton Race 1 No. 1) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings
