This looks a really tricky betting card especially with some uncertainty as to how the track will play. I’ve done the form for there to be some level of advantage for those horses settling forward of midfield.

Gregolimo (Caulfield Race 2 No. 12)
Lightly raced six year old who was heavily backed at his Australian debut. Was held up at a key stage before finishing strongly for second. Fitter for that, from a good draw and gets a big drop in weight. I’m not rushing to take the $3.2 which seems pretty skinny now. I think we might get better on the day.

Pesto (Caulfield Race 4 No. 3)
His two runs back have been quite good and this is a very winnable race. He isn’t blessed with gate speed but he has drawn well and I am hoping he might be able to settle a touch closer from a nice alley stepping out in trip.
