I have plenty of time for Superior Sam. He was a good thing beaten fresh before running into 2nd on a day where leaders were very suited and the winner had all the favours. Drawn wide but Mcdougall has been booked and the 2nd placing to Pinarello over in NZ really does read super against this lot. It can finish all over these at a good price.

Takumi (Geelong Race 6 No. 3)
Takumi doesn’t win out of turn but this really does look the right race for it. It has put in some solid efforts in open company and maps every kindly here from the draw. It has been nearly 2 years since it has won but that was in a BM78. Down to a BM58 here, this looks placed for an easy kill.

Best Lay
Vermentino (Geelong Race 8 No. 3)
Vermentino was just fair in a recent jump out. It has to carry a decent amount of weight here fresh and has had a long time off. With some give in the track that may be a very tough ask fresh to win this race. At the $3.20 mark it looks short enough in a decent field.
