No prizes for finding him but he was a good thing beat last start in the Tab Furphy Plate and finds a much weaker field. Meeds most of this lot on equal weights and unless there is a star amongst the first starters he should be winning this. Rates well clear of the raced brigade and just needs open air.

Good Vintage (Mornington Race 2 No. 6)
Brings in the NSW form to a race where most of these have plenty of convictions. Jye Mcneil does the steering for this Waller runner and it looks very well placed in this average field. Expecting the $3.00 to firm and it appeals on a 3×1 basis.

Best Lay
Doughboy Hollow (Mornington Race 2 No. 5)
He is always very heavily backed but I can’t work out why. Has had 3 runs this prep when leading in all of them and each time it was noted the track was playing on speed favoured. He has dropped out and been beaten a combined 20 lengths in his past 3 runs and comes up a short price again. He has had favours in the past with track bias and hasn’t shown much, needs to lift drastically.
