This 4YO Capitalist gelding from the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace stable looks very close to his next win. He chased hard and raced tight over the last 100m to finish 0.7 length 4th over 1200m at Moe on 7 November where he should probably have won. Last start he chased hard from midfield to close fast for 0.5 length 2nd over 1300m at Geelong on 30 November. Looks beautifully placed.

Champinsky (Wangaratta Race 7 No. 13 )
This mare has raced 5 times for a win and 3 places. She was runner-up twice before breaking her maiden with a 0.2 length win over 1100m at Werribee on 9 April, then finished 2.5 lengths 7th over 1212m at Kyneton on 9 May. Resumes from a 32 week spell and has placed at both first-up attempts. Looks a great each-way hope.

Sugar Pop has had 4 starts for one place. She resumed from a 21 week spell for 1.2 lengths 4th over 1100m at Werribee on 4 December. A couple of other runners look closer to their maiden win and I’m willing to risk her here.
