Boss Queen was no match for our best bet Pegasi a few weeks ago but I liked how it stuck on well. There is no Pegasi in this race and it maps kindly from barrier 2 with Allen aboard. Hasn’t missed the placings over this track and trip and this race looks a shade easier than last start.

Brillant Sapphire (Ballarat Race 8 No. 4 )
Concede Brillant Sapphire isn’t well weighted here with the rise in grade but it showed a sharp turn of foot last run to win. It simply loves racing on this track and while it usually leads them up, it proved last run it isn’t one dimensional. Moloney has options from barrier 4. It can lead or sit off them and this race is within reach. The $17.00 is ideal.

Best Lay
Starlea (Ballarat Race 8 No. 7)
Starlea has jumped out well but its still stuck on the one career win from 13 starts. Hasn’t won fresh and there is some good value floating about in this race. The $3.40 looks well and truly short in enough in a very even field.
