An extremely difficult night for punters at Pakenham with each race holding multiple chances. That being said, Barclay’s Bank sticks out. It was excellent hitting the line well behind our best bet Brillant Sapphire a few weeks back. It should have options from the low draw and gets a decent weight drop despite sticking in the same grade. If it can secure an economical run and get off the rail at the right time it should go close in this race.

Outback Action (Pakenham Race 5 No. 5)
Outback Action was very plain last start but it was the first time it hasn’t settled top 3 in the run and my guess is that was the reason for its effort. If Nolen can be aggressive early and find the front it can bounce back in this race and it won in this grade fresh carrying .5kgs more. We get $6.50 to find if it can bounce back and settle closer to the speed which should be vital to its chances.

He’s A Legend (Pakenham Race 3 No. 8)
The favourite has had its chance its past 2 starts. Moetman brings in some strong form and will be suited by the rise in trip while Toronova is floating around at large odds with some form around the handy Zenzella who ran well in the Oaks the other day. Both of those look strong chances and better value options than the favourite.
