The track is Good and the rail is out 14 metres for the entire circuit. The weather has been good all week and the track should play perfectly. Major races are the Oaks Trial for 3YO fillies (race 5) and the Derby Trial for 3YO colts & geldings (race 6), both over 1800m.
Best Bet
Snow Patrol (Flemington Race 3 No. 1)
Has raced twice for a win over 1300m at Sandown Hillside on 9th August, then 3rd over 1300m at Sandown Hillside on 6th September after being held up and checked where he should have finished closer. Strong chance.

Harlow Mist (Flemington Race 5 No. 3):
She has won both starts so far – over 1400m then 1600m. Runs as if the 1800m will suit and looks a great each way bet.

Princess Grace (Flemington Race 7 No. 7):
Very tricky day to find a lay. Princess Grace has a chance but I marked her $6. The map looks sticky.
