Gentleman Roy ticks plenty of boxes. Third up, lead, firm deck, drop in weight, stable flying. He should be in this for an awfully long way and I’m keen to be with him at $3 or better.

Elliptical (Flemington Race 7 No. 2):
Elliptical was dragged back, sat wide and still won the CS Hayes first up. Assuming he jumps cleanly he will settle much closer in the run here second up (could even lead). Hard to see anything in the CS Hayes turning the tables on him. I thought he should be closer to $5 and represents a good each way gamble at the current quote of $6.50.
