Four year old gelding Prowling keeps improving and was very good third in a better race than this two back. Last start he was left with far too much to do as a result of a wide barrier. Draws in this time around which should allow him to settle much closer in the run and hopefully that can see him in the finish at a nice price.

Impressive win first up at Bendigo, then ran out of room late when dropping back to 1200m at Rosehill second up. Gets to his pet trip now third up and is drawn to get the right run in transit. Can make a strong case he should be single figures.

Went under as a short price favourite last start and I just can’t get him this short with the big weight and a northerly wind which usually hinders on pace horses around Caulfield.
