There was plenty of merit to the run and it is worth noting Brett Prebble comes for the one ride. The draw is sticky again but if he can find some cover early and present it at the right time in the straight it should be going close. The $6.00 holds appeal.

I had Brillant Sapphire penned as a leader however it showed last start it can be dynamic by sitting off the speed and showing a fine turn of foot. The draw, map and putting back to back wins together are all queries however if you consider that it stays in the same grade and carries the same weight then there is plenty to like about its chances here. The $16.00/$4.80 holds appeal on an each way basis.

Morpheus Bragi (Mornington Race 4 No. 6)
The favourite in this race has jumped out well but there looks to be a lot of talent engaged. There is also plenty of value floating about in the race and Cartwright may need to dig the favourite up from barrier 1 to find a prominent spot early. The $2.50 is short enough in a wide open field.
