Horse Racing Tips : VIC Friday 6th October 2023

Our Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips for Friday’s meeting.

Key Comments

Night racing continues at the Valley after the Group 1 Moir Stakes meeting last week. The rail is out 7 metres for the entire circuit. As always at the Valley we are looking for horses who can settle on or close to the speed.

Best Bet

Konasana (Moonee Valley Race 2 No. 3)

She debuted with a win in a Sydney midweek maiden against older rivals over 1150m. After a 10 week break she was 1.4 lengths 4th over 1400m at Hawkesbury, then followed Harlow Mist into the race and drove hard to just miss in the VRC Oaks Preview (1800m) at Flemington last start. Looks well=placed here.

Best Each Way

Calico Jack (Moonee Valley Race 8 No. 7)

Has drawn the inside barrier and can improve with blinkers reapplied. He almost led throughout first up in stronger grade over this distance when resuming, and looks a nice each-way prospect..
