Concede the favourite is hard to beat but happy to slide with Merlin’s Charm at the better odds. It won for us a few times earlier in the year, it also is a winner at the track and has that advantage over the favourite. Gets a 2kg weight swing and can stalk the favourite, it appeals at a much better price.

Fame (Moonee Valley Race 4 No. 2)
Not sure the $3.00 is enough to be stepping into Fame here. Had its chance last run and has map issues from barrier 13 with good speed engaged in the race. They may have to ride for luck early and could be caught wide. If that is the case there is enough talent in the field to beat it.
