Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesdays meeting.

Le Cadeau (Launceston Race 5 No. 3)
This four-year-old Statue Of Liberty gelding trained by Barry Campbell has five wins and four places from 14 starts. He got the bob in a tight three-way finish to win by a narrow margin over 1120m at Launceston on 22 October, then got there late for a 0.2 length win over 1200m at Launceston on 17 November. All 5 wins have been a this track and looks a great chance to win again.

Each Way

Unclouded (Launceston Race 3 No. 14):
This three-year-old Frankel filly has had two races for one place. On debut she worked across and got to the lead but gradually faded in the straight for 2 lengths 6th over 1200m at Launceston on 17 November. At her 2nd start she slotted in midfield and worked home steadily for 2 lengths 3rd over 1200m at Launceston on 1 December. On a seven day back-up and will have benefited from her race experience. Looks a nice each-way bet.

Best Lay

Geegee Lucky Jess (Launceston Race 7 No. 5):
This three-year-old Wordsmith filly trained by Stuart Gandy at Brighton has one win and six places from nine starts and is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap over 1400m. She got home nicely for 1.75 lengths 3rd over 1220m at Launceston on 10 November, then looked to have every chance when 1.6 lengths 3rd over 1400m at Launceston on 28 November. Doesn’t win out of turn and willing to risk her here.
