Our Launceston Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Clifton Danseur (Launceston Race 7 No. 3)
This five-year-old has kept finding over a mile and steps up to 2100m here. He kept finding when 2.35 lengths 5th over 1600m at Launceston on 6 February, then ran wide with no cover to be in a line of four and kept finding for 2 lengths 3rd over 1600m at Launceston on 20 February. Has won twice over 1900m and rates highly with Codi Jordan taking the ride.

Launnie Nights (Launceston Race 2 No. 7):
Perhaps this is the omen bet for a Launceston night meeting. This four-year-old Pentire gelding came home strongly and just missed in the drive to the line for 0.1 length 2nd over 1600m at Launceston on 26 January, then came from well back to finish 0.3 length 3rd in a tight finish over 2100m at Launceston on 6 February. Strong each-way hope.

Peace Be Upon Him (Launceston Race 3 No. 3):
This three-year-old Divine Prophet gelding trained by Dylan Clark has one win and two places from five starts and is the early favourite in this Class 1 Handicap over 1200m. He started favourite and had no luck caught wide with no cover before fading and being allowed to finish at his own pace when 9.4 lengths 12th over 1200m at Launceston on 15 December, then had an eight week let-up. He was unwanted in the betting when 3.5 lengths 3rd over 1100m at Hobart on 11 February.  Willing to risk him here.
