This mare is absolutely airborne and looks very hard to beat again. Looks suited at the trip vs her key rival in the market in JULIUS – who I think is a handy 1100-1200m horse, rather than the 7 furlongs. Chloe Wells should roll to the top or sit outside the speed and give a good kick and with ROMARY comfortable in both drying and/or wet conditions that we may face as the meeting progresses, she should be winning.

Noble Exception (Launceston Race 1 No. 8):
NOBLE EXCEPTION comes out of a strong race in behind CHOSEN EAGLE and SUSHI EXPRESS where he led at a steady gallop and was over run late and boxed on for a minor placing.
He looks to get a similar run here and this appears a fairly limited field versus last-start. He’s well-placed to run into the money again for trainer Alana Fulton.

Ran well last start behind GALENUS but they didn’t break any records there over 1200m and I just can’t see JULIUS winning over 1400m. He’s shown nothing to suggest he’ll appreciate stepping out in trip and for the reason I’m happy to lay him at the early price.
