And Beyond (Launceston Race 7 No. 6)
With seven wins and a place from 10 starts, this five-year-old Wordsmith gelding has a fantastic strike rate. He got held up in traffic before getting clear late and running home for 2.7 lengths 8th in the Listed Tasmanian Newmarket Handicap over 1200m at Launceston on 1 December, then was outsprinted to the line for 1.5 lengths 2nd in the Listed Conquering Stakes over 1400m at Launceston on 15 December. Returns from a 6 week break and goes well fresh. Looks the winner.

Ashy Boy (Launceston Race 6 No. 2):
This three-year-old Star Witness gelding trained by Patrick Kearney at Ballarat has two wins and a place from eight starts. He was a 1.3 length winner over 1875m at Kyneton on 16 December, then chased steadily the entire straight for 2.2 lengths 5th over 2000m at Flemington on 15 January. Should race on the speed and looks a solid each-way bet.

Let It Rip Reggie (Launceston Race 4 No. 1):
This four-year-old Ocean Park gelding trained by Jim Taylor has one win and two places from eight starts and is the early favourite in this Maiden/Class 1 over 1600m. He won by over 11 lengths in a maiden handicap over 1400m at King Island on 26 December, then just missed for 0.2 length 2nd over 1400m at King Island on 2 January. Steps up in distance and  prepared to risk him here.
