Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday
Best Bet
Coronation Keith (Launceston Race 8 No. 3):
Tricky little card, but found a couple towards the back end of the card I’m keen on.
CORONATION KEITH has been going super this prep, after failing to come to hand last time in. His performance behind LIFFEYBEAU in the Royal Rambo was solid, and they ran good time there. He’s thrown in here with 56.5kg after the claim of Chloe Wells, considering he’s dropping from Open Class to BM76 level. Chloe is a handy enough apprentice who excels when she can control races from the front, in a race where the only real danger for the top is ROMARY, who Chloe actually jumps off, she should be able to push forward to the lead or to control the race from the chair. AND BEYOND and STREET TOUGH look the main dangers flying late, but hoping Chloe can pinch a break on them!
$2.80 (At time of writing) – think we’ll get a fraction better price come the jump.

Best Each Way
Noble Exception (Launceston Race 4 No. 8):
Nice little race where the market has gravitated towards the two obvious key chances in SUSHI EXPRESS and CHOSEN EAGLE. Admittedly, they look great winning hopes but there was one horse I was keen to follow up on here at a price.
NOBLE EXCEPTION ran super on debut despite some poor luck in-running. He got stuck behind a few slow ones coming round the bend, and lost all momentum. He was still game enough to find the line for a 3.4L defeat where the margin wasn’t a true reflection of his ability. Up to the 1400m I think he might get some more clear air here, and is a chance to lead if he can cross SUSHI EXPRESS , who draws the pole. If he can show natural improvement 2nd up, this might be the runner missed by the market from the nimble Alana Fulton stable.
$16.00 (At time of writing) – keen to back on a 1×3 each-way basis.
Best Lay
Majestic Diamond (Launceston Race 6 No. 8):
Last start winner, who hails from the powerhouse Adam Trinder stable.
Ran a farcical time last-start when winning a low BM68 and now jumps to an Open HCP against seasoned horses. Gets a nice run on the map, but ultimately I think she’s a level below Tasmania’s better sprinters. She’s about half the price she should be, if not more.
Think she’s under the odds and one to be taking on. Worth laying on a PLACE basis.

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet can land us a win in the first. Best Bet Pee Dee (Quirindi Race 2 No. 1) Has been sound in both efforts to date and this race lacks any depth. The 5th last start is better than it reads on paper and that is in a race much harder than this. Goes in the mix here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bhakti Dave Each Way

Key Comments A big 10 race card takes place. The rail is in 3 metres. The track usually suits those who can sustain a long run to the line. That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Flame Tree Star (Grafton Race 1 No. 1) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings
