This three-year-old Wordsmith gelding trained by Stuart Gandy has two wins and three places from five starts. When resuming from a 22 week spell he was claimed late for 0.3 length 2nd over 1200m at Launceaston on 6 October, then forged ahead late for a 0.5 length win over 1220m at Launceston on 22 October. In great form and will be hard to beat.

This five-year-old Wordsmith gelding trained by John Lutrell has two wins and six places from 25 starts. When resuming from a 21 week spell he was always well back and finished 12th of 14 over 1400m at Launcesron on 13 October, then he cane from well back toward the outside rail for a fast-finishing 0.7 length win over 1430m at Hobart on 21 October. Hoping he can reproduce that run here and he’s a good each-way bet.
