Our Hobart Racing Tips for Sundays meeting.

The main races is the $100,000 Elwick Stakes (Race 5).

Hela (Hobart Race 6 No. 3)
This three-year-old Night Of Thunder filly trained by Scott Brunton is unbeaten in three starts. She sat outside the leader to the turn and did best in the straight for a 1.75 length win over 1200m at Launceston on 12 December, then led and out-booted then for a length win over 1400m at Launceston on 8 January. She should handle the extra distance and remain unbeaten.

Banca Nip (Hobart Race 8 No. 3):
This six-year-old Ustinov gelding has had 16 starts for four wins and four places, and has won two of his last four starts. He kept coming for a 0.2 length win over 1650m at Devonport Tapeta Synthetic on 20 December, then peaked on his run for 2.75 lengths 2nd over 1880m at Devonport Tapeta Synthetic on 11 January. He is going well this campaign and is worth an each-way bet.

I’m A Floozy (Hobart Race 4 No. 4):
This four-year-old Toorak Toff mare is the early favourite in this Class 1 handicap  over 1100m. She worked home strongly to just miss for 0.1 length 2nd over 1009m at Devonport Tapeta Synthetic on 6 January, then was leading before being outsprinted to the line and finishing 1.25 lengths 4th over 1220m at Launceston on 16 January. With only one win from 11 starts she offers no value here.
