Our Devonport Horse Racing Tips for Sunday.

Best Bet

Reward for Rosie (Devonport Race 1 No. 8):

Debuted for the Stevenson stable last start and hit the line super over 1150m at this track. Now 2nd up she goes up in trip, blinkers applied and finds a pretty weak maiden. Only query is where she lands in the run, she was a touch slow away last start when faced with a sticky outside draw, conversely she draws the pole here and with even luck should be winning for the locals.

How to pick a winner

Best Each Way

Red Sphere (Devonport Race 3 No. 8):

2YO debutant for team Trinder. Has trialled nicely leading in with the last of his three trials the most stylish where he picked them up swiftly late in the piece under little riding. With the absence of star stable rider Brendon McCoull on today’s card, the more than capable Troy Baker jumps on. He should find a position stalking the speed and let down nicely late.

Best Lay

Kireina Marubrah (Devonport Race 2 No. 11):

Sticking with the Trinder 2YO theme, this filly looks under the odds. Trialled just okay vs RED SPHERE and I simply can’t have her as short as the market given the impressive lead-in work of GOLDEN MEADOW and GENERAL ASSEMBLY. The old band of Darmanin/Trinder might anchor the filly in the pointy end of the market and provide a great lay opportunity.
