Has beaten most of these previously, in good time, and can’t see those runners going close to turning the tables.

Gee Gees Desert (Launceston Race 1 No. 8):
Open maiden to start the day and the favoured runners of the field have a few convictions and I’m inclined to take them on. GEE GEES DESERT is a fiery filly who gets some key gear changes here in an attempt to improve her manners out of the gates. She also gets a lovely pilot upgrade with Liam Riordan jumping on and with natural improvement should be around the mark here in an open affair – looks a great each-way chance.

With no prices available at time of writing, I’ll have to go off intuition here and take on NAMABAALE. Comes out of a farcically run race where he was able to settle in behind speed and enjoy a cosy run. Think he faces a tougher ask here, along with more pressure and will likely go up under the odds. Happy to be against him early in betting.
