He was edged out in the run to the line for 0.9 length 4th over 1350m at Devonport on 5 January, then chased hard right to the line for 0.4 length 2nd over 1220m at Launceston on 14 January.Takes a 3kg claim and is knocking on the door to break his maiden.

Kay Oh Ell (Hobart Race 10 No. 10):
This four-year-old El Roca mare trained by Yassy Nishitni has two wins and six places from 11 starts. She finished best in the final 100m for a 0.4 length win over 2100m at Launceston on 8 December, then ground home well from way back for 8 lengths 2nd over 2100m at Hobart over three lengths ahead of the 3rd horse. Has gone well at this distance and looks a solid each-way hope.

Magic Khan (Hobart Race 8 No. 5):
This five-year-old Dalakhani mare has three wins and four places from 14 starts and is the early favourite in this BM 62 Handicap over 1400m. She was a 1.75 length winner over 1400m at Longford on 1 January, then got to the lead but gave ground in the final 100m to finish 1.6 lengtha 4th over 1400m at Launceston on 26 January. Has the widest barrier and prepared to risk her here.
