Horse Racing Tips : TAS Sunday 11th June 2023

Our Hobart Horse Racing Tips for Sunday’s meeting.

Best Bet

General Assembly (Hobart Race 2 No. 4):

On a day I struggled to find a standout, I’ve landed on GENERAL ASSEMBLY for the Angela Brakey stable as an each-way special. This gelding is listed as a debutant but actually went around on the 21st of May at Devonport in a race won by Golden Meadow but was later declared a non-runner. This has since proven to be a strong maiden form reference and I think the market has missed this runner due to the non-runner classification. After being denied a fair start he ran on quite well given the circumstances and had trialled quite well leading into that debut run. Think it’s an EW bet to nothing.

$6.50/2.20

Best Each Way

Steel Mist (Hobart Race 8 No. 3):

Has found the line nicely recently in strongly contested benchmark grade races. Will get back here and likely need the tempo to suit but with 52kg’s on won’t know himself and should be coming home strong over this trip. Happy to play on a 1×3 each-way basis.

$12.00/3.20

Best Lay

Furneaux (Hobart Race 4 No. 2):

Finds a more suitable contest than last start but has come up with a tough barrier to contend with. David Pires will have his work cut out to find a position here and have enough in the tank to hold them off. Looks an even race and this runner looks a fraction short.
