Think TURK BOY looks well placed here to break his maiden, and should be clear favourite. He’s opened up 2nd elect behind MUSCLE UP, who admittedly had an unlucky debut prep. He will likely give TURK BOY a start here and likely find him too sharp over 1009m. They recently trialled side by side, with TURK holding MUSCLE UP comfortably, expect this to be no different.

Special Interest (Devonport Race 2 No. 3):
Pretty even bunch here, and I’ve sided with SPECIAL INTEREST. He comes out of reasonable maiden at Launceston last start where he hit the line well. Returns to his home track here, and with what looks to be a messy map for those wanting to control the race, I thought he could smoke the pipe out the back and come with a run down the outside and get them late.
