Our Launceston Racing Tips for Fridays meeting.
The main races are the $100,000 Tasmanian Guineas (race 8) and the Tasmanian Stakes (Race 9).
Hela (Launceston Race 5 No. 2)
This three-year-old filly trained by Scott Brunton has had two starts for two wins. She led all the way and bolted off for a 5.5 length win in a maiden race over 1100m at Hobart on 17 October, then sat outside the leader and pulled away close to the line for a 1.75 length win in a class 1 handicap over 1200m at Launceston on 12 December. Both wins looked very easy and she should remain unbeaten today.

Each Way
Odin’s Folly (Launceston Race 7 No. 6):
This six-year-old mare has raced at Launceston six times for three wins and three places. She was edged out late in the race to finish 0.2 lengths 2nd over 2150m at Launceston on 2 December, then sat close to the lead and pushed ahead to win by 0.5 length over 2100m at Launceston on 16 December. She has such a good record at this track and distance that she is worth an each-way bet.

Our Pinjarra Park Horse Racing Tips for Thursday's meeting. Key Comments There are 7 races and the rail is +4 metres the entire circuit. Best Bet Another Strike (Pinjarra Park Race 6 No. 2) He was a 1.3 length winner over 140m at Ascot last start after narrowly missing to be runner-up over 1300m at Pinjarra the start before. The way he ran on at the end suggests the rise in trip will suit. Leading hope. $2.25
