Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Friday.
Rail: True
Surface: Good 4/Soft 5
Notes: The Launceston track has recently undergone some repairs and looks unreal from what the club have shown on their media platforms – I’ll be interested if it races well as we kick off the Launceston season.
As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight.
Jockeys to follow:
– Brendon McCoull: 22.7%SR @ 11.1% POT @ Launceston
– Erica Byrne Burke: 19%SR @ 53.8% POT Last 100 Runners
Trainers to follow:
– Adam Trinder: 29% SR @ 17.6% POT Last 100 Runners
– Barry Campbell: 17%SR @ Launceston
Best Bet
I’m Keefe (Launceston Race 3 No. 2)
Going well this preparation and coming off a handy win. Maps really well here from an inside draw and looks suited stepping up to the mile.
Looks a race between it and LONDIANI and I think I’M KEEFE might have more to offer late after a likely kinder run in transit from the draw.
$3.20 (at time of writing).

Best Each Way
Gee Gee Queen Bee (Launceston Race 6 No. 4) and Geegeeluckystar (Launceston Race 6 No. 5):
Keen to dutch two runners at an each-way quote to collect in Race 6. GEE GEE QUEEN BEE ran super on resumption for the new stable behind the smart SIRENE STRYKER at Devonport. She returns to her favourite track, and trip 2nd up where she looks to get a great stalking position behind the speed and can sprint sharply late over the top. Speaking of speed, GEEGEELUCKYSTAR should be up there on-speed from the pole draw. He loves this track, and can go well fresh after a solid enough trial at the track leading in. Think between the two we can build a solid book for a handsome collect either way.
$7.00 & $5.50 (at time of writing)
Best Lay
Aruma (Launceston Race 5 No. 7):
Not sure she’ as good as the stable think. Fell in, in a weak race last start and although she may improve I think there’s a few here that could be hard to get past!

Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet can land us a win in the first. Best Bet Pee Dee (Quirindi Race 2 No. 1) Has been sound in both efforts to date and this race lacks any depth. The 5th last start is better than it reads on paper and that is in a race much harder than this. Goes in the mix here. Check odds on SmartB Analyst: Bhakti Dave Each Way

Key Comments A big 10 race card takes place. The rail is in 3 metres. The track usually suits those who can sustain a long run to the line. That will suit the best bet who loves racing here and comes up later in the day. Best Bet Flame Tree Star (Grafton Race 1 No. 1) Has a booming turn of foot and while Swanston doesn't have the easiest pattern to catch, this track does suit and that shows with the 9 placings
