Horse Racing Tips : TAS Friday 27th October 2023

Our Launceston Horse Racing Tips for Wednesday.

Rail: +6m (Previously +4m)
Surface: Good

Notes: The Launceston track has recently undergone some repairs and has raced well thus far this season. The rail shifts out further which should lend itself to on-speed runners, drawn inside.

As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with an advantage to those who find the inside lanes in the straight.

Jockeys to follow:
– Brendon McCoull: 22.7%SR @ 10.9% POT @ Launceston
– Erica Byrne Burke: 18%SR @ 53% POT Last 100 Runners

Trainers to follow:
– Michael Trinder: 13.1%SR @ 31% POT @ Launceston
– Sarah Cotton: 17%SR @ 32.7% POT @ Launceston

Best Bet

Gee Gee Miss Quita (Launceston Race 7 No. 6)

Gets key weight swing on fave who it nearly ran down last start in a small field. Strips fitter 2nd up now and should get a bit more tempo to be strongest late. Maps to stalk fave AZARA everywhere it goes.

$4.20 (at time of writing).

How to pick a winner

Best Each Way

I’m Keefe (Launceston Race 8 No. 4):

Career best form, and dominant win last start. Unfortunately we cop a negative jockey switch but at least there’s some fat in the price to compensate. Should cross and sit handy, and go close late. If it can get a kind run in transit it looks the value.

$6.50/2.15 (at time of writing) – I will be backing on a 1×2 each-way basis

Best Lay

Cairns (Launceston Race 3 No. 7):

Poor last start and doesn’t look to have developed much physically since 2YO campaign. Happy to be against, in an open race.

Our Warwick Farm Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Key Comments The rail is in the true position. The best bet gets a drop in class, kind draw and J-Mac hoping aboard. Plenty to like about its chances. Best Bet Etna Rosso (Warwick Farm Race 4 No. 1) Liked the last start run when not having much luck behind an in form bunch of runners. The form has been franked since and was scratched from the weekend in preference for this. With J-Mac aboard and the

Our Doomben Horse Racing Tips for the 6th of March. The rail is out 9 metres. With constant rainfall across the past few days expect the track to be in the soft range. The best bet comes up in race 6 and ticks plenty of boxes to be notching up another win. Best Bet Bubba's Bay (Doomben Race 6 No. 2) Has been around the mark this prep and maps for a lovely time of it from barrier 6. Kindly weighted and this field

Our Balaklava Racing Tips for Wednesday's meeting. Key Comments The track is a Good 4 with the rail in the true position. Best Bet Oakland Raider (Balaklava Race 3 No. 6) Oakland Raider has had 3 starts. He was a close 2nd at start number 2 over 900m at Murray Bridge on 26th January, then ran 4th last start at Morphettville Parks after leading then peaking  in the final 100m. He should find the lead early from the good barrier and looks hard to

Our Terang Tips for Tuesday's meeting. Key Comments The rail is true. The best bet comes off a 9 length romping and looks every chance of going one better despite the rise in grade. Best Bet Galloping Guru (Terang Race 7 No.2) Galloping Guru atoned with 2 luckless runs and put a 9 length margin on them. Goes up in grade but looks progressive and can head to the front and prove tough to mow down. Expecting the support to come prior to
