Horse Racing Tips : SA Wednesday 5th July 2023

Today’s Meeting Key Comments

It’s the last meeting of the racing year for the Mount Gambier Club and the track is a Heavy 10 with the chance of more showers on Wednesday. The rail is out four metres from the 1800m-1600m, including the 1800m chute and is true from the 1550m to the winning post. Jockeys to follow here are Kate Walters, Harry Grace and Dom Tourneur. Trainer Wayne Walters is the leading trainer here and has runners in all races.

Best Bet

Our Mount Gambier Racing Tips for Wednesday’s meeting.

Joe’s Giggle (Mount Gambier Race 5 No. 2)

He resumed for a 2 length win over 1400m at Horsham on a Heavy 8 on 28 May, then ran 2nd over 1563m at Mount Gambier on a Heavy 10 on 18 June. Up in distance, should be fitter for 2 runs back and can handle the heavy conditions. Should be winning.

$2.15

How to pick a winner

Best Each Way

Mylitlestarthatcan (Mount Gambier Race 7 No. 5)
This three-year-old gelding won a 1213m Maiden Plate at Mount Gambier on 18 June. That was his 6th start and the track was a Heavy 10. He takes a 3kg claim for Britney Wong who was successful on him last start and looks a nice each-way chance here, as many of the runners aren’t proven in the mud.

$10

Best Lay

Thunderandlightning (Mount Gambier Race 7 No. 4)
This five-year-old gelding is the early favourite in this BM 62 Handicap over 1400m.  He just missed as favourite last start over 1100m at Warrnambool and is up in distance. Other runners offer better value.

$4

Our Flemington Tips for Saturday's meeting. Key Comments The best bet comes up in the first race of the day and looks very hard to beat resuming with a stack of speed to ping to the front and prove hard to reel in. The rail is out 2 metres. The feature races include the Furphy Trophy (race 4), Inglis Sprint (race 7), Australian Guineas (race 8) and the Blamey Stakes (race 9). Best Bet Cinderella Days (Flemington Race 1 No. 1) Can lead

Horse Racing Tips : WA Saturday 2nd March 2024

Our Ascot Horse Racing Tips for Saturday’s meeting. Key Comments The track is a Soft 5 and the rail is +8 metre for the entire circuit. The feature races are the $125,000 Lex Piper Stakes (race 7) and the $125,000 Ascot 1000 Guineas (race 8). Best Bet Bonjoy (Ascot Race 1 No. 7) Bonjoy is looking for 4 straight wins after bringing up a hat-trick last Saturday at this track and distance. She drew clear quite comfortably and should be too good again. $2.05

Our Eagle Farm Horse Racing Tips for the 2nd of March. Key Comments Track in the good 4 range. The best bet comes up in race 3. Best Bet Hold On Honey (Eagle Farm Race 3 No. 2) Looks very well treated here at the weights scale. Barrier 2 will ensure every chance. Can lob up on the speed and give a bold sight fresh in what is a suitable race upon resuming. $2.90    Best Each

Horse Racing Tips : VIC Friday 1st March 2024

Our Moonee Valley Tips for Friday's meeting. Key Comments Very keen to take the price about the best bet who is over $20.00. The feature race is the Abell Stakes (race 7). Best Bet Apres La Mer (Moonee Valley Race 6 No. 5) Hasn't seen this grade for a while and has had excuses for the few runs prior to last start. The 4th last run in better company than this would take this out. $26.00 is mammoth. $26.00
