He was a clear last and over-raced before battling on for 1.7 lengths 4th on heavy going over 1050m at Morphettville on 17 September, then worked home strongly and drove hard late to get up on the line for a narrow win over 1050m at Morphettville on 17 September. Looks an excellent each-way bet.

This three-year-old gelding trained by Richard & Chantelle Jolly is the early favourite in this 3YO Maiden Plate over 1100m. He is one of six runners in the race that are making their racing debut, but he won a recent trial at Balaklava. There are a couple of horses with race experience who haven’t been far away recently, and I’m prepared to risk him.
