Stadium Of Light (Morphettville Parks Race 6 No. 8)
This four-year-old Sacred Falls gelding trained by Michael Hickmott has one win and two places from four starts. He began awkwardly and raced mid-field before peeling out wide and chasing solidly to grab 3rd over 1400m at Murray Bridge on 20 August, then came from midfield as the widest runner to take over in the final 100m and win by 1.6 lengths over 1400m at Morphettville Parks on 1 October. That was an impressive win and he rates highly here.

Best Each Way
Kalamon (Morphettville Race 7 No. 1)
This six-year-old gelding trained by Ricard & Chantelle Jolly has seven wins and 10 places from 34 starts. He ran on strongly and just missed to run 0.2 length 2nd in the Mindarie-Halidon Cup on 18 September, then was a 0.3 length winner of the Jamestown Cup on 1 October.This race is for horses that haven’t had a metropolitan win in the last year and with the 3kg claim he looks a nice each-way chance.

Best Lay
Kong (Morphettville Race 10 No. 1)
This five-year-old grey gelding trained by Ryan Balfour is the early favourite in this BM 60 Handicap over 1200m. He battled on gamely for 2 lengths 2nd over 1250m at Morphettville Parks on 1 October, then chased out wide for 3.1 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Balaklava on 12 October. He has a big weight, even with the 2kg claim, and has never won at this track before. He is very consistent but rarely wins (2 wins from 17 starts), so although I think he will place I’m willing to bet against him.
