Skilord has been racing in excellent fashion and looks extremely well in at the weights with the apprentice claim. There has been subsequent form from its last run and it looks well placed in this field. Just needs a little luck from the draw to give this a shake.

The win rate of Clairvue Star isn’t ideal but it had no luck up the straight last run and can atone here. It looks extremely well in at the weights given it drops in class and only carries .5kgs more than last run. KWT sticks and I’m hoping he is more positive in the run. Clarivue Star finds a winnable race and can break through for another win.

Archdeacon (Ipswich Race 7 No. 8)
Open race. Archdeacon I’m happy to risk here given just the 1 win from 11 career starts. It maps very awkwardly from barrier 11 and the apprentice will have to find a place to slot it back off the speed. On the tight Ipswich track that likely won’t suit.
