Royal Nicci pulled up with issues last run and was far too bad to be true. Has since trialled and looks ready to go here. If all is right, it should be too good for this and Thornton should land it on the speed from the wide draw. The $2.90 is over the odds and it started $1.60 in this same grade last run.

Larrikin Rouge brings in some strong open company form. It ran well first up behind a galloper that has won 3 straight and that kind of form stands out in this race. Drawn to perfection and Thornton in the saddle again. It’ll take some holding out at good odds.
