Open race, I’m banking on Green Flash finding the outside and running over these. It brings in the strongest last start rating and while the map looks tricky, its still better than the favourite. Form around Wild Chap and Cinque Torri reads really well and like it against this lot. Even luck from the draw and it’ll take some beating.

Alburq (Eagle Farm Race 7 No. 14)
The record of Alburq doesn’t read well. 1 career win from 30 starts however the move up North may prove vital. Its form is outstanding for this, boasting placings to the likes of Pioneer River and Invincible Jet. The ratings are well clear of this bunch but it tends to find trouble often and struggles to get first past the line. Thornton will need luck from barrier 1 but if he can weave a path the $15.00 is a gift, it looks better than these.

Best Lay
Kokoro (Eagle Farm Race 4 No. 5)
Taking on the favourite here. Kokoro has okay Sydney form and while I concede Willinga Rufio didn’t have the greatest run in transit, it still knocked up terribly and thats the horse Kokoro recently ran 2nd to so the form doesn’t hold up well. It maps more awkwardly than the danger in the race Green Flash and happy to risk at the current $3.70 mark.
