Huge odds are on offer here for Remlaps Gem. Its only loss from 7 attempts over this trip was at the end of last prep when it ran 2nd in heavy conditions. I’d have liked a more in form jockey aboard but there simply isn’t a better 900m sprinter in Australia than Remlaps Gem. The $8.50 is worth getting involved with.

West Of Africa (Gold Coast Race 7 No. 13)
Been with West Of Africa all prep and it continues to race well. This set up looks ideal. It should be able to camp off the speed and have one last crack at them. It has the best turn of foot in this race and the $6.50 is an excellent price. Arantee is the danger.

The Bopper (Gold Coast Race 4 No. 5)
Would have had The Bopper 3x the price in this. It went off the boil for a while but did return with a win last start. While it was an impressive 4 length win this is an enormous leap in grade and it comes up against one of the best 900m sprinters in the country in Remlaps Gem. I’d have their prices the other way around.
