Moktaffy has strong claims in this race. The barrier brought it slightly un done last run but it hit the line well. 2 starts back when drawn nicely it was not far off them in a similar race to this. Waller is a trainer that places his horses to perfection in Queensland and with just the one runner in the market I think it’ll take some holding out at good odds.

Like the chances of May in the first. She seems to race best when on top of the ground which she gets here. The win over Legal Esprit reads really well, as does the unbeaten fresh record. Maps to be ahead of her rivals and should give a nice kick. The $6.00 is a solid price.

Hatchet (Eagle Farm Race 9 No. 5)
Hacteht is looking for a hat trick and while it is hard to knock the way its racing, the map looks terrible from where it is. Coming from barrier 15 there are 6 runners mapped to be pushing forward. Unless this race is torn apart by scratchings I expect Hatchet to be caught deep from the wide draw and in a race of this quality, it can’t afford to be wide.
