Niffler (Warwick Farm Race 4 No. 5):
This four-year-old Tavistock mare trained by Chris Waller is unbeaten in two starts. On debut she chased hard to prevail in the latter stages for a 0.8 length win over 1500m at Kembla Grange on 3 April with the best over all race sectionals. After a 33 week spell she resumed for a 1.5 length win over 1350m at Wyong on 25 November with the best last 800m race sectional of the day at distance. Hugh Bowman takes the ride and she will be hard to beat.

Rebel Shadow (Warwick Farm Race 6 No. 3):
This three-year-old Rebel Dane gelding trained by Gary Portelli has one wins and three places from four starts. He switched inside runners at the 220m and kept chasing for 2.6 lengths 3rd over 1250m at Canterbury on heavy going on 12 November, then got a split late ad won by 0.2 length over 1250m at Canterbury on 26 November. Jason Collett sticks with him and he looks a nice each-way bet that has won or placed in all four starts.

Best Lay
Outlook (Warwick Farm Race 5 No. 4):
This four-year-old Fastnet Rock mare trained by Brad Widdup at Hawkesbury is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 2400m. She sped to the lead but was headed at the 200m and finished 1.85 lengths 4th over 2600m at Cranbourne on 29 October, then led from the 1600m for a 0.2 length win over 2300m in a BM 64 at Newcastle on 28 November. She has drawn the outside barrier and this is a tougher race so I’m prepared to risk her here.
