Last start at Randwick-Kensington, this son of Amaron got the blinkers for the first time and absolutely savaged the line behind Cognac, despite travelling a touch keen in the run. He stays in the same grade over the same distance but drops 0.5kg from last start thanks to the 3kg claim of Dylan Gibbons. His stable mate has been scratched which gives him the chance of either taking up the speed or getting a dream run just behind the leader. This isn’t a deep race and he will get every chance to get his first Australian win.

Twilight Affair | (Canterbury Race 3 No.5) / Ruby Kisses | (Canterbury Race 3 No.3)
She was all but the winner last start before being overrun over the final 50m by the classy Roots. Prior to that, she was a good winner of this track and distance, winning by 1.8 lengths over rival Ruby Kisses. She will have to concede 3.5kg to that rival but being on the quick backup and mapping well, she should be hard to run down. With the prices the way they are, Ruby Kisses is a great saver bet as she should be the only danger.
