Missed out narrowly last week in NSW with the best bet Lekvarte at $16 but can go one better here with Denetta. Its run was disguised until late when it shot like a rocket just narrowly missing out on picking up West Of Africa. It carries 1.5kgs more than the favourite in this race but was held up for half the straight. If barrier 1 is put to use it looks a massive winning hope.

Bak Da Man is due for a win but gets in nicely in the weights and Gibbons will have options from the barrier. A drying track is suitable for it and carrying just 54.5kgs it looks very well placed in this field and should take some holding out. The $4.00 appeals.

Taking on the favourite in this who carries the same weight after having every chance last run and running 4th. There is 3 times the price about Denetta in this race who beat it home and was held up for most of the straight. On weights and from the wide draw I am surprised Marillier is $3.60 and favourite.
