This three-year-old Rubick gelding trained by Ron Quinton has four places from seven starts. He kept chasing for 0.6 length 2nd over 1500m at Newcastle on 18 December, then chased strongly making good ground in the final 200m for 0.2 lengths 2nd behind Publicist over 1400m on a soft 7 track at Warwick Farm on 12 January. Gets the winkers on for the first time and should break his maiden here.

Navy Cross (Warwick Farm Race 7 No. 6):
This five-year-old I Am Invincible gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse has six wins and five places from 27 starts. He began well and led to the home turn but was headed at the 300m and winded out on the heavy track to finish 6.4 lengths 7th over 2000m at Doomben on 1 January, then couldn’t have been more impressive with an all-the-way win in the $1m Magic Millions Trophy Quality Handicap over 2400m at Aquis Park Gold Coast on 15 January. Will probably lead again and looks a great each-way chance over the same distance.

Tuhinga (Warwick Farm Race 3 No. 2):
Chris Waller trains this three-year-old Epaulette gelding that is the early favourite in this 3YO BM 64 handicap over 1600m. He chased hard in the last 200m to finish 0.2 lengths 2nd over 1200m at Newcastle on 26 December, then chased hard to prevail in the final stages for a 1.2 length win over 1350m at Wyong on heavy going on 8 January. Steps up in distance and offers no value.
