This four-year-old Savaveel gelding trained by Chris Waller has two wins and eight places from 13 starts. He kept chasing for 0.69, 0.68 lengths 3rd over 1600m at Warwick Farm, then kept chasing on the heavy track for 0.26, 1.77 lengths 3rd over 2000m at Rosehill last Saturday. He is on a four day back-up and should be hard to beat.

Jungle Book (Canterbury Race 6 No. 2):
This five-year-old Animal Kingdom gelding trained by Clare Cunningham has nine wins and 14 place from 48 starts. He switched inside runners at the 250m and chased hard to prevail in the latter stages for a 0.69 length win over 1600m at Warwick Farm on 2 June with the best last 800m race sectional, then was the widest straightening and chased hard for 1.86 lengths 6th over 1800m at Kensington on 16 June. He is on a seven day back-up and has placed in both his previous starts at this track. Handles heavy going and looks a nice each-way chance.

Eight Diamonds (Canterbury Race 5 No. 9):
This three-year-old Sebring filly trained by Team Hawkes is the early favourite in this BM 72 handicap over 1200m. She was well back straightening and ran on strongly for 6.1 lengths 4th over 1400m at Kensington on 17 February, then was winded badly for 11.3 lengths 14th in the Group 1 Surround Stakes over 1400m at Randwick on 27 February. Resumes from a 16 week break here and prefer to see on the heavy track.
