Byron Belle (Canterbury Race 3 No. 9)
A very tough meeting where lots of runners are resuming and the market will play a crucial role throughout the day. Byron Belle is one of those resuming and has trialled up very nicely. It ran 7th behind Zougotcha last prep and does look suited on top of the ground. Despite finding the Group 2 out of its depth it was far from disgraced and if its ready to go fresh it looks well placed in this field. Worth keeping an eye on the market for it.

Air Bentley (Canterbury Race 2 No. 4)
Air Bentley got the place odds at a nice price for us last time out and happy to stick thick here. It maps for a nice run in transit and made good ground last start in a race dominated by the leader. The $8.00 appeals.

Best Lay
Hollywood Hero (Canterbury Race 3 No. 1)
Hollywood Hero was luckless on debut but did run well. It comes out of the Shalatin race and I have my doubts over that form. J-Mac does the steering but he will need some luck from the wide draw and this is the most open race of the day.
